The more wind you have the less effective the tubes will be because the negatively charged air being created by evaporation will quickly be dispersed and replaced with air that is not negatively charged.

If the air is very humid the evaporation level of the pool will be less which will cause the concentration of negatively charged ion air to be less.  If your area is constantly humid you can add an extra tube or two, depending on the humidity, to increase the concentration.     

Windy conditions. 

When your pool is covered the tubes will not be as effective.

If your pool is cold and has little evaporation the concentration will be lower.

If your eTubes get covered with leaves or other debris, they will not be able to transmit the energy required to form a proper dome.

We've found that once bees become conditioned to use a pool as a water source, they'll keep returning. However, since a bee’s lifespan is only about 40 days, this behavior usually fades as that group dies off—new bees typically don't return to the pool if the proper number of tubes are in the pool.
